Foster Program
Why Are There So Many Homeless Pets?

We are now accepting applications for foster homes for dogs and cats. Please phone (678)213-2143 for a telephone interview to begin the process and learn what the requirements are. You'll be giving a shelter dog or cat the 'luxury' of space and time to find the perfect home... and a second chance at life. Now that's a great feeling!

Can't foster, but would like to help a pet find their forever home? Making a donation of food or contributing to the medical care for things like spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchips, flea medication, dewormers, heartworm medication and any additional medical care we might need helps us a lot. Please visit our Donations page to find out how to help us with a donation!

Foster Care saved my life and my babies' lives too!

Maybe you would like to be a puppy foster mom like Janice?  She cares for young pups, socializes and potty trains them.  She has helped many puppies get a good start before they go on to their new families!

Maybe you'd like to foster a wonderful girl like me? My name is Bridget and I gave birth to my kittens at the County Shelter. I really needed a place to raise them, so the WGAWL took us into foster care and I was able to nurse all of my babies until they were weaned and then we were all spayed, neutered, vaccinated and adopted to nice families. Thanks to my fostermom, my babies and I received a second chance at a wonderful life!

Maybe you would like to nurse newborn orphaned puppies like Anne Marie?  Here she is holding two 2-week-old puppies who lost their mom and were brought to Animal Control.  Thanks to Anne Marie, these two puppies have a chance at a wonderful life.

Maybe you have room in your home and heart to help someone like me find my forever home?

My name is Sam and, since I am a little older and I had to compete with all the cute puppies and small dogs for adoption at the County Shelter, I needed some extra time to find my perfect home. I went to a great foster home where they fell in love with me and adopted me. Now I get to play in the backyard with the kids and I even go down the slide with them! Maybe you'd like to foster someone like me to help them find their forever home?
