Why Are There So Many Homeless Pets?

2006-10-21-2007-42.jpg

On October 11th, 2006 a wonderful woman named Carol Moore passed away. Throughout her life she loved animals and had a tremendous dedication to their care and protection. Carol received this gift of love from her father, Herbert Knoch, who was a U.S. forester. Carol later shared this gift of love with her six children and together they continued the family tradition of showing love and compassion towards animals. Carol's lifelong wish was to take care of cats.

To honor Carol Moore's life, her daughter, Lorraine Lynch, and family have established the Carol Moore Memorial Fund. This fund's main purpose is to help fixed income seniors, who have a lot of love to share, to adopt and care for homeless pets.

Please join Carol's family in honoring her life by making a donation to the Carol Moore Memorial Fund. In addition to monetary donations, you can donate used laser and inkjet cartridges and cellphones for the WGAWL to recycle. Gifts of dog and cat food, PetSmart and PetCo gift cards and kitty litter are also appreciated. Please specify that your donation is for the Carol Moore Memorial Fund. Thank you for honoring Carol's lifelong dedication to caring for and protecting animals.

Donations may be dropped off at the West Georgia Animal Welfare League Adoption Center on Friday-Saturday 1:00 - 6:00 and Sunday 12:00 - 5:00, or by appointment on Monday - Thursday. You can also mail your donation to:
